Design Downunder

I'm an avid reader of many of the international design blogs such as Decor8, Bloesem, Print + Pattern, Design Sponge etc. Until recently, I wasn't aware of many bloggers posting specifically about design in Australia and New Zealand (other than Modamuse which I would definitely recommend). I've recently discovered the following three:

Studio Home Creative is written by Julia, an Interior Designer from Queenstown, New Zealand. It's a relatively new blog, but already Julia has collected some nice finds from around the traps.

indie art & design showcases independant artists, designers, craftspeople and interesting stores from around Australia. They also have their fingers on the pulse of indie events and markets on at various places around the country. It's been going for about a year (seems I'm a bit slow on the uptake).

Living Creatively is not so much a blog as an online magazine/portal/forum. Aside from the gorgeous eye candy on the homepage, it contains some very interesting interviews with craftspeople and designers, along with book reviews, sample DIY projects and an assortment of other bits and pieces of interest to anyone with an interest in this area. It appears to be new, but looks very promising.
